yourself your friends and family this holiday season? We’ve put together a comprehensive holiday gift guide chockfull of over 30 ideas perfect for everyone in your life: the budding home chef, the photography enthusiast, the happy gift giver, and the never-give-up runner!
Our everyone on our coaching team chose a few things that have made them smile this year!
Standard Weber charcoal grill + charcoal chimney + 20 pound bag of royal oak lump wood charcoal and you are on your way to smokey delicious BBQ bliss. I cook anything on this setup, at any temperature, and for any length of time. It’s my unplug time on the weekends. It’s non-digital and very manual. And I love ribs.
I love running with some tunes or a podcast in my ears, but I also love to run with my dog and hear the jingle of her collar. And when I don’t hear that jingle, she’s either taken off after a deer or stopped to eat street snacks. These bone conduction head phones deliver surprisingly good audio while keeping your ear drums earbud free – so I can quickly intervene in the street snack situation and enjoy whatever I’m listening to.
I simply don’t think I’d be healthy enough to run regularly – let alone run my ultra marathon this fall – had I not used these bands to open up my hips, shoulders, and ankles on a weekly basis. They underscore the importance of joint mobility and distraction to improve joint range and function. Stretching is cool and all – but this is way better.
I love this thing. It keeps my coffee warm all morning while I’m coaching indoors and outside, and it never spills. Plus it comes in handy to roll out my calves or anything else on the fly. Definitely worth treating yourself to some caveman coffee too. Their Black Gold is legit!
Being a life-long learner, I am addicted to the classes on this website – everything from cooking to photography, calligraphy to spinning yarn. If you want to take up a new hobby, you can find a class for it on Craftsy. Gift certificates for the whole website, or for specific classes can be gifted to friends and family members. Every class is taught by an expert in their craft, and the lessons are web-based high-quality video sessions, which include discussion chat groups to connect with the instructor and other people who’ve taken the class!
I have gifted these to grandparents and family members, and always get rave reviews. I also get compliments everywhere I go on my own cute case featuring pictures of my own kids. You can get them for the most popular phone models and designs, and can customize with words or photos, or use their fun and funky patterns instead!
They are so handy for anyone who likes to play outdoors, and they are the most universally useful accessory I own. Buffs can serve as a headband, hair tie, hat, scarf, wind guard, handkerchief, and even a bandage in case of an emergency trail spill!
One of the best gifts I ever received was a virtual run from my kids. They purchased the run for me, and then one son rode his bike with me for a whole 10k, and the others held up the finish line tape in the road for me to run through when we got back. Vacation Races has some creative and fun themed virtual runs where you can print your bib number, and earn some amazing swag…all while running where and when it is convenient for you!
All of Penzey’s products, from individual spices to their creative blends, take your cooking to the next level. Meals are a snap when I know I can start with a basic protein, a vegetable, and olive oil, and then just add whatever Penzey’s spice or blend smells good that night! I highly recommend their taco seasoning 🙂
To go with the awesome spices, Bistro Blends makes my favorite balsamic vinegars! Theirs are a reduction style vinegar, so they’re fairly thick, and a little goes a long way. I love the strawberry and raspberry ones as salad dressings with spinach, fruit, chicken, and feta cheese. I’ve even used it in home-made strawberry cupcakes and as an ice cream topping. Delicious!
I have naturally curly hair, so that means I’m always trying to de-frizz, and this shampoo makes my “do” wash and go. Towel dry, scrunch with a little bit of their Curl Perfecting Crème, and out the door I go! If you can, pick this gift up at a local salon to support a local business this holiday season!
Medically formulated to fully rehydrate, SOS Hydration tastes great and contains none of the crazy added sugars you find in other mixes. Load up so you can make it through the holiday season and kick off 2018 with some killer runs!
Oiselle is a Seattle-based by-women, for-women athletic apparel company. They make running apparel for female athletes of all ages, paces, and places, and bring together a community of women who love to move, run, and fly. The Mac Roga Shorts and Wazzie Wool Base Layer are a must-have!
Organic food can be expensive, so a Thrive Market membership is the perfect gift for a healthy eater! I actually calculated it, and I ended up saving over $300 last year thanks to Thrive. The company also gives a free yearly membership to a low-income family, veteran, or student for every membership purchased!
I never used to run with sunglasses but now that I’ve found these, I refuse to go outside without them! Not only can I see better but I’m protecting my eyes in the process. I’m an Aviator chick myself but all three styles are ridiculously lightweight, chic and DO NOT MOVE!
This monthly subscription service delivers an awesome selection of hormone and antibiotic free cuts right to your door, including 100% grass-fed and grass-finished beef, free-range organic chicken and heritage breed pork. Go ahead and surprise your favorite carnivore with a box!
What could be better than the gift of a good night’s sleep? Made from sustainably harvested materials, these non-toxic pillows are made from natural latex with a natural Kapok fill (a softer, lighter and vegan alternative to down) and wrapped in a certified organic cotton cover. They sleep cool, light and airy with a medium-plush feel. Plus, you can adjust the fill to meet your ideal firmness!
BEST socks ever, and the most comfortable boxers (according to my brother). I’ve run in a lot of socks and these are hands down my favorite. The designs are all fun and creative, and the fit is perfect!
Pollan is a world-renowned author and a leader in the healthy food movement! My three favorites are Cooked, The Omnivore’s Dilemma and Food Rules.
This puppy is on my wish list for sure! Looking to get some higher production value in some remote places.
This is my absolute favorite mobility tool for tissue work. The best part…you can do it while sitting on the couch 🙂
If you want to get spendy for that special someone, blow them away with a kick-butt gimbal and watch their production value skyrocket.
As the arsenal expands, so does the need to store it all! If you are like me and have a good amount of camera stuff, keeping it organized and safe can be quite the ordeal at times (especially when you’re on the run!).
There’s no better gift than the gift of stability. This tripod presents the fluidity of a GH03 head and the versatility needed to work in rugged terrains. Bingo bango.
Race Entry Fees
Give the gift of suffering by comping someone’s entry fee for a race on their upcoming calendar. Invest in their pain 😉
Without a doubt, this jacket is the most important staple for my winter running. I wear it after almost all of my winter runs. It’s reversible, traps heat, and is SUPER lightweight.
I rolled my ankle on a trail run this year and these bands saved me! Easy to transport, easy to use, and immediately effective in getting circulation back to the area in pain. Beyond that, they are AWESOME for simply keeping your joints mobile and injury-free. A must-have!
If you’re a runner, you probably sweat almost daily! While sweating is an awesome detox in-and-of-itself, this mask helps to keep my complexion bright and my skin smooth. Throw it on for just a few minutes, a couple times a week! The female runner in your life will thank you BIG TIME for this one.
This stuff is awesome! A perfect blend of electrolytes to take in before or after my workout — low in sugar & tastes great! I swear by it 🙂
This book teaches you to cook by learning how to adjust those 4 basic elements in the title. I’ve always been able to cook from recipes, but I’ve always wanted to be able to cook without them. Love how this book approaches doing just that!
I tried numerous ways to carry my phone during 2017, and this one is the fav. It fits different phones, it’s super light and simple, and it works.
I’ve been cooking a lot more thanks to Garlic Press Jess, and she’s created a calendar cookbook with a ton of great recipes. I love her style of cooking because it’s no frills, it’s practical, and it’s healthy. I got one for myself and a few for gifts.
If you have an iPad or Tablet… this thing makes it SO much more useful. I use it in the kitchen for recipes, or on the couch for holding music/lyrics when I’m playing the guitar. We also use it during our TRE Live Show so we can monitor questions on a separate screen!
Okay, so this is a shameless plug, but I started a personal Youtube channel on negotiation. My first series is about how to negotiate a raise or new job offer: use it to earn more in 2018, and send it to a friend who needs the help!
